The internet has lots of advantages for communicating information to members and for promoting the club to potential members. Occasionally, we would therefore like to include images of club members engaged in different activities on this web site.

At the same time, the club is anxious not to expose its young members to any unwanted attention by publishing personal information that could be used in any way.

This web site has therefore been developed in line with the ASA's Child Protection Policy and Guidelines for Club Web Sites issued by the ASA's Child Protection Woking Party.

With respect to images and information held on the web site, the club therefore guarantees that:

• images used on the site will be group shots, head and shoulders only, action shots in the water, or other shots which will not allow an individual swimmer to be identified in any way
• full-length images of children in swimsuits will not be included on the web site
• names of individual children will not be displayed alongside their photographs
• individual members' names will only be included in a 'results' section which is password protected. Members will be issued with passwords, to access their swimming results and times, on request.
• no information will be included which allows swimmers to be contacted either through the internet, or by reference to individual phone numbers or addresses.
• contact details for club officers will only be included with their permission.
• Although we will carefully select images and information to appear on our web site in line with the above privacy guideline, parents may deny us permission to use pictures of their child if they so wish.
