Entrance Criteria

The club's minimum entrance criteria are that swimmers should:

• be able to swim 1 width on front and back with a recognised stroke with correct technique
  
• have an interest in progressing towards competitive swimming.

If you are interested in joining the club, you are invited to attend a free water trial.

Trials are held regularly and you are asked to contact the club directly via scswimclub@aol.co.uk or complete the on-line form below to arrange a suitable time. Trials are normally held on a Wednesday evening at our home pool, Cheam Leisure Centre, between 7:00 and 7:30.

Please come along with swimming trunks/goggles and a towel and we will assess the swimmer's ability. During the trial, swimmers will be asked to swim some of the following strokes:

• Front crawl
  
• Backstroke
  
• Breaststroke
  
• Butterfly (basic only)

Accepted swimmers will then be placed in the appropriate training group for their ability and development.
